What we believe:

We believe that this world belongs to God.  God created this world good and perfect. He created people to live in this world in fellowship with him. Long ago, however, the people God created rebelled against him, and this good and perfect world became a messed up, broken place.  The good new is that God never stopped loving his world and promised that the day would come that he would reclaim this world as his own.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of God's promise, that he came to suffer, die on a cross, and rise again in triumph over Satan and sin.  It is only in Jesus that we can find the true life that God would have for us. Today, Jesus is in heaven where he has authority over all things.  Someday, Jesus will return to this world as King.

We believe that God's Holy Spirit is as work throughout the world today, moving people of every nation to faith in Jesus. He is at work in the church - empowering us for ministry, nurturing in us the characteristics of Jesus.

We believe in the Bible as the Word of God.

We believe in the church as the fellowship of all who confess Jesus as Savior and Lord.  We are forgiven sinners, called to be holy, and dedicated to joyful service.
Other summaries of what we believe can be found in:
  • the Apostles' Creed
  • the Nicene Creed
  • the Athanasian Creed
  • the Heidelberg Catechism
  • the Belgic Confession
  • the Canons of Dort
